Eat Purr Love, a Clintonville cat cafe open since 2016, is undergoing a change in management. Their initial owner is soon to move out of state, and Columbus Humane has announced that they will be acquiring the business to ensure it remains open.

The nonprofit has had a very fruitful partnership with the cafe from the start. The cafe gives Columbus Humane's adoptable cats the chance to interact with potential adopters in a safe, comfortable, and social environment. In the last two years, Eat Purr Love has found homes for 300 of their adult and senior cats, a significant portion of the organization’s adoptions.

Former owner Chrissy Kuras, though sad to be leaving the central Ohio area, is glad to leave the cafe in the capable hands of Columbus Humane. The organization is committed to maintaining her vision of enriching the community and caring for cats in need of forever homes.

The cafe will be closed briefly in July during the transition but will reopen within a few weeks. Columbus Humane has also just completed the first phase of massive renovations of their main adoption center in Hilliard, which included the expansion of their cat area.
